Funding Check

/funding <mint> runs the same on-chain checks that gate News Pulse alerts against any pump.fun mint you give it. Pro-only.

The bot traces the dev wallet’s funding history via Helius’s funded-by API and classifies the chain as one of:

  • Clean — no launder pattern; safe to evaluate normally
  • CEX-funded — dev wallet funded directly from a centralized exchange; legitimate retail entry point
  • 2-hop launder — dev funded via a single-use shell wallet from an OG with prior pump.fun deploys (the textbook obfuscation)
  • Tumbler-chain — dev funded through 5+ single-use intermediate wallets across multiple hops (professional multi-hop laundering, e.g. JENNER 40-hop)
  • Shell-only — single-use shell wallet upstream but no identifiable OG; could be a deeper-than-2-hop launder or a legit hot/cold split
  • Unknown — Helius returned no funding history for the dev wallet
/funding 2e1FuGc7ksz95MYKRGruCZ4kmHH4C2NkdJNLFyz8pump

Returns a verdict in 1-3 seconds. Verdict-only by design — no MC, no deploy count, no funding-chain dump. If you want those, see the Anatomy of an Alert for what a regular News Pulse alert includes.

News Pulse silently blocks alerts on confirmed launders and tumblers. That’s the right default — clean alert feed, no noise. But it means users never see the patterns being filtered.

/funding reverses that: any time you’re considering a mint from outside News Pulse (a Twitter call, a Telegram tip, an Axiom auto-snipe target), paste the address and find out whether it would have been silently rejected.

  • Doesn’t trade. Just classifies. You decide.
  • Doesn’t check off-chain factors. Twitter activity, holder distribution, organic volume — out of scope.
  • Doesn’t predict price. A “clean” verdict means the funding pattern isn’t a rug signal; it does not mean the mint will moon.
  • Only works on pump.fun mints. Address must end in pump. Non-pump.fun tokens (Raydium-direct, etc.) return an error.

Each check uses ~10-15 Helius credits (2× funded-by + 1× pump.fun creator deploys + maybe a tumbler walk). Pro users have no usage limit on this command; abuse a tier above ~100/day and we’ll add one.
